Dear readers
The afternoon was just as tough for the 2nd day. However, WA did better against the No. 1 seeded by winning 3 matches.
Bernice won her singles again in 2 sets against Angie Liu.
Timothy also won in 3 sets for his singles against Xenos He. He will be a strong fighter for the Under 15s this October.
Joanne went down fighting in 3 sets. I know she always gives her all to the extent that she pushes herself to the brink of injury. Bearing in mind she is still able to play in the Under 15s this year, this bodes well for WA.
Bernice and Joanne also won their doubles against Carina and Yasmin.
The other players will have learned form this experience and should do better tomorrow.
