WA fight hard but do not get the bronze medal

Dear readers

It has been a very tough day for the WA team.

Despite giving everything they had, the team could not win a bronze medal. Many of the players are already physically stretched to the limit.

They were so brave and honourable when Coach Joseph asked if they wanted to go easy for the NNZ game yesterday. The team said they would fight all out to see how far they can go against NNZ.

Perhaps if they had conserved their energy, the results today against NSW would be different.

The team went down 5/11 against NSW this afternoon.I missed all the whatsapp messages as my phone was being repaired. I am sure they must have felt  so disappointed.

However all the parents have shown how proud they are of their children and their achievement. The whatsapp messages speak for their love of their children.

Thanks to Joe and Donna for all they have done to guide the players. Ruth deserves special mention for all she has done for the team. I know it is not easy looking after the team.

The team have to now work on their individual matches.
