The team is progressing well.
They had their first game in the morning playing against New Caledonia. The NC team has improved since the last competition and are actually stronger than Tasmania now.
Alex and Julia got the team to a great start with a 21/11 and 21/2 win against A Lisarrague and L Wongsodjirono.
Amos Yi and Edward got a 3 setter winning 23/21, 15/21 and then 21/6. They must have lost concentration in the 2nd set.
Phing and Silvi had no problems against S Yagues and V Angsar with a 21/9 and 21/7 win.
Tyz and Titus also comfortably beat T Bezier and G Leconte at 21/12 and 21/11.
Serena had a good win against L Wongsodjirono at 21/8 and 21/11. This is her 2nd singles win. She must be getting more confident.
Edward also beat M Davignon comfortably at 21/11 and 21/16. Julia got on next and also trounced A Lissarrague 21/9 and 21/15. She needs all the confidence to prepare her for her next few games which will be against much stronger players as she moves up the food chain.
Titus also bet Y Geoffroy 21/11 and 21/12 without breaking a sweat.
Alex had a harder game against V Angsar but managed to break away at 21/13 and 21/17.
Tyz beat J Faatauvira at 21/7 and 21/11 again without breaking a sweat.
Phing had an easy game beating S Yagues 21/3 and 21/8.
Amos had a fright with a hard initial battle against R Nagle at 23/21 for the first set. He woke upand finished the 2nd set at 21/13.
KJ and Serena next got on the court and won 21/6 and 21/12 against R Nagle and L Wongsodjirono.
They are getting stronger as a team.
Edward and Julia also beat J Fatuvira and A Lissarrague 21/8 and 21/16.
The next 2 mixed doubles were again easy wins giving the team a 16/0 win.
The WA team is getting stronger and stronger which gives them a good foundation for their next game against Vic 2 in the afternoon.
