Continuation 3 Central NZ

Dear readers

Some technical issues. After a close call Bella and Gavin win their matchs in 2 sets. The other players were catching up but our player remain strong and focused and win their matches.

Jasper is next with Sophie and Xiang with Geri. WA is up 8/2.

JS 6/2. NZ catches up at 4/7 but Jas smashes for another pt.

NZ catch up at 7 all.

Jas and Sop all down 9/11.

Xi and Geri at 4/4. Xiang and Geri gets to 11/5.

Xi and Geri get to 16/7. Xiang is attacking everything without mercy. They get the first set.

 They win the first set easily. Sop and Jas lose the first set but are fighting back on the 2nd.

Xi and Geri reach 11/2. Jas and Sop hold the lead at 11/8.

Jas and Sop reach 20/10 but lose 2 pts in a row.


Xiang and Geri finish as winners. They are after all the Under 15s champs.

Sop and Jas manage to get a 3rd set.

The score is now  5/2 for NZ.

NZ gets to 11/6.

WA gets to 9/11 and now 11/11.

NZ lead again at 15/12.  Jas gets 2 more pts to narrow the gap.

Sop gets 2 pts to narrow the gap to 1 pt. NZ gets a pt.

Gav and Bella are at 7/6.

Jas and Sop at 18 all.  Jas gets to 20/18.  They win the set and the match. Well done guys.

Gav and Bella are at 12/10. Now at 16/13. Now 17/14.  Set point at 20/16 and NZ gets another pt before Gav closes the deal.

WA is up 15/2.

Last game is between Ed and Julia against the NZ no.1.

Ed and Julia are at 6/2. They win the first set at 21/17.

While Gav and Bella win their match at 21/12.

Ed and Julia at 4 all.

They fight to stay at 8/9. Now at 10 all before  Ed and Julia get to 11/10.

A few mistakes and they are at 15/18.  NZ gets the 2nd set.


NZ gets to 11/7 in the 3rd set.WA get back 4 pts to draw at 11 all and then take the lead. They progress to  14/12.

WA now 17/15.  NZ catches 1 pt.


Ed wins the match with Julia after a rimmed shot.

Great game.
